The National Partnership Agreement (NPA) is one of the primary sources of CLC funding. The NPA requires a number of specific reports. This page provides an overview of the Performance Indicator, as required by clause 17(e) of the NPA.

Please note: Prior to June 2017, this was clause 17 (d).

NPA 17 (e)

the number of legal assistance services delivered (comprising: information and referral; legal advice; legal task; duty lawyer services; dispute resolution; court/litigation and other representation; and community legal education), disaggregated by service type and law type

This NPA requirement is split into two reports - services to individuals ands services to the community. Report N3.2, and this page, refers to services to communities. Click here for information about N3.1 - Services [to Individuals] by Law Type.

Purpose: Display the number of project services provided in the period by law type (Family, Criminal or Civil).

Report Type: Drilldown

Characteristics

The Services considered in this report are:

  • Community Legal Education (CLE) Activities
  • CLE Resources
  • Community Education
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Law and Legal Service Reform

The Law Types included are:

  • Family
  • Civil
  • Criminal
  • Legal System and Legal Help

Notes

  1. The NPA report requires services by law type. However, to provide maximum flexibility and utility while the remaining reports (Batch 2) are finalised, high level problem type is also included. This also highlights the functionality available in drilldown reports.

The default view includes high level problem types. To show law type only, click and drag 'problem type' into the 'drop filter fields here' space. Examples are shown below.

  2. Reports in CLSIS counted the number of Projects. The NPA requirements, and CLASS, now count Project Services. Project Services are the equivalent of Activities. It is expected that the statistics increase as centres are likely to have more than one service per project.

  3. Legal System and Legal Help is a new 'law type' added in the National Legal Assistance Data Standards. Although it can be used for services to individuls
